The project began with mechanical repetition and perpetual motion, contrasting one artist’s physical grounding with the other’s conceptual bent. That tension unlocked a playful, childlike approach to design beyond preconceived parameters.. Early ideas ranged from shells to kinetic forms and deconstructed hierarchies. When time became the focus, the sun’s mythic constancy suggested cycles, leading to the slinky. With rings compressing and releasing, it is motion legible even at rest.
